Teacher Workshops

Every August the North Carolina Symphony hosts a 5-hour workshop for educators preparing students to attend education concerts in the Symphony’s upcoming season. Attendees are the first to view the season’s education materials, while authors, staff and musicians demonstrate suggested classroom activities and techniques. This season’s workshop will take place on Tuesday, August 8, 2017.

North Carolina Symphony education concert workshops provide participants with a Certificate of Participation for five hours, which can be used for CEU credit with prior approval from the school system.

Teachers who are unable to attend the August 2017 workshop can attend online!
This year’s five-hour workshop was video recorded and made available through an online classroom. The cost to register for the online workshop is just $30.00 per person and includes one printed copy of the teacher handbook, student handbook and Education Concert CD. If you are registered for the 2017-18 Online Workshop, you will be sent a link that will allow you to access the online classroom. Videos and information from the Teacher Workshop will be uploaded in early September following the workshop in August.
