SUZANNE KELLY

Suzanne Kelly, a native of Texas, has made North Carolina her home since joining the Symphony as a violinist in 1973. After graduating from the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, she attended the University of Illinois where she earned a Bachelor of Music degree.

She toured the country for a year with the Canadian National Ballet Orchestra and later joined the New Orleans Symphony. Each summer she travels to New Mexico where she performs with the Santa Fe Opera Orchestra.

Suzanne enjoys travels with her husband, North Carolina Symphony Principal Bassoon John Pederson, and son Austin. Her interests include running, hiking, interior decorating and opera.
