ALEX LIEDTKE ACTING ASSOCIATE PRINCIPAL

Alex Liedtke is acting Assistant Principal Oboe/English Horn of the North Carolina Symphony for the 2015-2016 season. Alex obtained an undergraduate degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music and a masters degree from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. His teachers include Betty Camus, Robin Driscoll, and Bob Morgan. He previously held positions with orchestras in Fayetteville, NC, Augusta, GA, Wheeling, WV, and Greenville, SC. Alex organizes the Winston-Salem chapter of Classical Revolution, which seeks to bring chamber music to new audiences in non-traditional spaces. Alex also maintains an active teaching studio of young oboists in the Piedmont Triad.
