TRAVEL ALERT — SOUTH STREET CLOSURE
The North Carolina Symphony’s state headquarters venue in downtown Raleigh, Meymandi Concert Hall, is located in the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts.
Bag Policy
Please note that at the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts, a small clutch or wallet is recommended and no bags larger than 12″ x 12″ x 10″ will be allowed. This includes backpacks, camera bags, and oversized purses.

Drop-Off & Bus Information
A dedicated drop-off lane is now available on Lichtin Plaza to provide a convenient drop-off and pick-up experience for guests; vehicles may not wait or park in this area.
The drop-off lane is accessed via South Street on the west side of the Martin Marietta Center. Vehicles must enter and exit with right turns only. If traveling from Wilmington Street, continue to Lenoir Street, turn left onto Salisbury Street, and then turn left onto South Street to approach the entrance.
All buses and shuttles may use the new dedicated lane directly in front of Memorial Auditorium, which is in the center of the venue. Please line up on South Street prior to unloading. After dropping off, buses and shuttles with drivers remaining on board should park at Dix Park (75 Hunt Drive). If you have an established downtown parking location, you may park there instead of Dix Park. Click here for images illustrating the new procedure.

Parking
Patrons may park in the Performing Arts parking deck at the corner of South and Salisbury streets for $10. Event parking is also available in the Convention Center Underground Deck, on Lenoir Street near the intersection with Salisbury Street, for $3 per hour. Age Policy
Every patron, regardless of age requires a ticket and must be able to sit quietly in a seat throughout the performance. Children aged 2 and under are not permitted to attend Classical, Friday Favorites, or Pops concerts.
Children aged 2 and under are admitted free of charge and permitted to sit on a parent’s lap only for Young People’s Concerts and family holiday concerts.
Concert Insights
Evening Classical Performances
Concert Insights offers audience members insights into the performance of the evening. Presented at 7pm, the 30-minute Concert Insights features conversations with guest artists, chamber music performances by musicians of the North Carolina Symphony, lectures and instrument demonstrations—the perfect complement to an 8pm classical performance at Meymandi Concert Hall. Free to ticket holders for the evening concert. Please join us!

SEATING
Wheelchair-accessible and companion seating is available at Meymandi Concert Hall in the Orchestra level and in the Lower Balcony. Wheelchair-accessible seating is an open, level space that accommodates one person using a wheelchair. Up to three companion seats are also available next to each wheelchair-seating location.

Courtesy Wheelchairs
A limited number of wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis. A driver’s license or other I.D. is required to reserve a wheelchair. Upon arrival at Meymandi Concert Hall, please see an usher or Box Office staff for assistance.
PARKING
Accessible parking spaces are available on the first level of each garage and in the surface lots. The parking cost for these areas is $10.00 per car.
A drop-off zone is located in the brick area along South Street in front of Lichtin Plaza. Driving on the Plaza is strictly prohibited.
ASSISTIVE LISTENING DEVICES
Meymandi Concert Hall is equipped a radio frequency assistive listening system provided free of charge. There is a limited supply of headsets that should be reserved in advance. For more information, please call us at 919.733.2750 or email tickets@ncsymphony.org.
LARGE PRINT & BRAILLE PROGRAMS
Large print or braille programs are available by request; please call 919.733.2750 at least 30 days prior to the event. Please note that not all events have programs.
RESTROOMS
Orchestra Level: Restrooms are located in the rear hallway behind the Orchestra seating area.
Lower Balcony Level (main entrance floor): Restrooms are located next to the main staircase.
Upper Balcony (accessible by the elevator located on the west side [Salisbury Street side] of the lobby): Restrooms are located on either side of the center lobby staircase.
