CELLO TUNE-UP!
A Virtual Workshop with the North Carolina Symphony’s Elizabeth Beilman
Wednesday, July 8, 2020, 2pm-3pm
Middle school and high school cellists will join the North Carolina Symphony’s Associate Principal Cello, Elizabeth Beilman, for a FREE virtual workshop! In this one-hour session, cellists will work on the skills needed to perform the first two movements of Vivaldi’s Sonata in B-flat Major, RV 47. (Heads up: This repertoire is required on Senior Region Orchestra auditions!) Learn how to improve your trill technique and your articulation of bowing patterns found in this sonata—plus, you’ll have the option to play for the class and receive personal feedback and instruction from Ms. Beilman!
This workshop is perfect for cellists ages 12-18 who have been playing at least 3 years. (Preview the music for the class.)
