EDUCATION MUSIC FOR LIFE
Open Rehearsals
An Open Rehearsal is a fascinating opportunity to watch the North Carolina Symphony at work, and see how a piece of music is shaped and polished by the conductor and the musicians.
Open rehearsals are available at no charge to educators, but reservations are required. Please contact Jason Spencer, Director of Education, at education@ncsymphony.org to make your reservation.
Students in grade six and above are invited to observe the dress rehearsal for a performance of the North Carolina Symphony in Meymandi Concert Hall. Open Rehearsals begin at 10am (except where noted) and end at approximately 12:30pm. One adult chaperone is required for every ten students. When available, conductors and artists may speak with your students during the break (approx. 11:15am), or following the rehearsal. Please confirm your interest in participating in a Q & A session, and have your students prepared with questions to ask. Rehearsal times are subject to change.
