EDUCATION MUSIC FOR LIFE

Open Rehearsals

An Open Rehearsal is a fascinating opportunity to watch the North Carolina Symphony at work and see how a piece of music is shaped and polished by the conductor and the musicians.

Students in grade six and above are invited to observe the dress rehearsal for a performance of the North Carolina Symphony in Meymandi Concert Hall. Open Rehearsals begin at 10am (except where noted) and end at approximately 12:30pm. One adult chaperone is required for every ten students. When available, conductors and artists may speak with your students during the break (approx. 11:15am), or following the rehearsal.  Please confirm your interest in participating in a Q & A session, and have your students prepared with questions to ask. Rehearsal times are subject to change.

Open rehearsals are available at no charge to educators, but reservations are required. To make a reservation, complete the reservation form.
