Violinist Emily Glover joined the first violin section of the North Carolina Symphony in September 2015. In recent seasons she has played regularly with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and Colorado Music Festival, and spends her summers with the Central City Opera orchestra. In addition, she was Concertmaster of the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra from 2013 to 2016, and held principal positions with the Castleton Festival Orchestra, National Repertory Orchestra, and Brevard Symphony Orchestra. She has appeared as soloist with the North Carolina Symphony, Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra, National Repertory Orchestra, and Furman Symphony Orchestra.

As a chamber musician, Glover is currently a member of string quartet Aurora Musicalis and has been first violinist with the Lockerbie String Quartet. She was a guest performer with the Muir String Quartet in Boston and has collaborated recently with pianist William Wolfram. She has also regularly performed on the North Carolina Symphony Soundbites series and has been a guest artist for the Talking Music concert series at UNC-Chapel Hill.

A native of Lynchburg, Virginia, Glover holds degrees from Furman University and Boston University, where her teachers have included Peter Zazofsky and Thomas Joiner. She lives in Cary with her husband, David, and daughter, Maia.
