JOIN THE SYMPHONY
The North Carolina Symphony is proud to announce a new initiative called One State, One Score—with the inspiring “Ode to Joy” from Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 arranged for many different instruments, instrument combinations, vocal parts, skill levels, and even languages.
The scores will be accessible to all North Carolinians and the Symphony will invite the submission of video recordings of the music, to be compiled into a final video for the public. The project aims to bring people of diverse backgrounds together, albeit virtually, in a collective arts experience.
All instruments are welcome!
We want to see and hear what you love, from traditional orchestra instruments like violins and flutes to synthesizers, electric guitars, and banjos.
Just pick a score for your favorite instrument and your experience level, record your take on it, and get ready make your debut with the North Carolina Symphony!
