The North Carolina Symphony wants to see you express yourself through food and show off your very best outdoor eating style at this year's Rex Healthcare Summerfest concerts. Bring a picnic spread ready to impress or match your food and decorations to that concert's program...whatever moves you! Each week, our roaming judge will select the most impressive picnic by 7pm. Winners will be notified the night of the event and will receive their prizes on the spot. Check back here to see the winning pictures each week.

Read this fantastic article "Classical Tailgating" from the N&O's food writer Andrea Weigl about our Picnic of the Week contest.

Weekly First Prize:
  • a voucher for a fabulous picnic basket worth $100 provided by Whole Foods Market of Cary.
  • a photo of the entire group and picnic on our website.
  • ultimate picnicking bragging rights!
One honorable mention will also be awarded with a $20 Whole Foods Market gift card each week. Good luck and happy picnicking!
