Interactive: North Carolina Symphony Blog
North Carolina Symphony podcasts are a great way to learn more about the music that the Symphony performs through interviews with conductors and guest artists.
In the two latest podcasts, recorded backstage at Meymandi Concert Hall, host David Hartman speaks with N.C. Symphony Music Director Grant Llewellyn, soprano Kristen Watson, and tenor Richard Clement about Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, which will be performed in Meymandi Concert Hall this weekend on Friday, Dec. 6, and Saturday, Dec. 7, at 8 p.m.
No other work by Bach contains a richer collection of charming and easily comprehended melodies than the Christmas Oratorio. Also featured in this weekend's concerts will be mezzo-soprano Krista Rivers, bass Philip Cutlip, and the North Carolina Master Chorale.
