An Invitation from Liz Beilman, Associate Principal Cellist

Please join us for our upcoming concert in the J.S Bach for the Cello Series. Concert No. 2 will take place this coming Sunday, January 31, 2:30 P.M. at Christ Episcopal Church in downtown Raleigh. Please note the unusual time and the location, both of which are different from our first concert.

Once again, I will be joined by my colleagues from the North Carolina Symphony, Principal Bonnie Thron and Assistant Principal Peng Li as we make our way through this glorious repertoire. This time, we will be playing the first three of Bach's solo suites for the cello. These suites begin the journey through the forest of colors, harmonies and forms explored fully by the master of the baroque in the suites.

We appreciate the hospitality of Christ Church for hosting Concerts 2 and 3 and would like to ask our audience members to give as they are able to the church music fund. Admission to the concert is free.

See you on Sunday!

John A. Tilley's Gravatar What a fine idea! My wife and I would love to attend at least some of these concerts. We live in Greenville, though, and can only make it to Raleigh so many times per month. (We subscribe to the Symphony's Saturday night series.) January 31 won't work; Greenville is pretty thoroughly snowed in.

Could you let us know the dates for the rest of the concerts in the series? Thanks.
